APPLICATION AND SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR 2026:

CLARIFICATION:

The ICYF Secretariat launches the call for applications in January 2025 and expects to receive the Application Form and the Support letter from the Applicant countries no later than 1 June 2025.
The ICYF Secretariat will study and review the Applications to shortlist nominations and will submit the shortlisted nominations to the Selection Committee.
The Implementation Protocol (or Protocol of commitments) will clarify all the details of the Programme as identified in the application form (attached), and the responsibilities of the Implementing and the Host agencies on the subject. In case of failure to sign the implementation protocol by the Host Agency, the OIC Youth Capital status will be given to the second applicant on the list.
Instrument of assessment (criteria) of the selection process will be officially distributed among all Member States to ensure the objectivity and transparency of the evaluation process.
The OIC Youth Capital City will be selected in accordance with the selection mechanism and criteria.
Each OIC Youth Capital Candidate City shall present an interim and a follow-up report or make a presentation on the yearlong programme preparations (list of activities, partners, stakeholders, etc.) to the ICYF Secretariat.
The OIC Youth Capital 2027 International Programme period starts in January 2027 and ends in December 2027.
